These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Know When I Go platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • Service means the Know When I Go web-based life administration platform.
  • User, you, your means the individual using the Service.
  • We, us, our means KWIG Limited.

3. Account Registration and Security

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.

4. Nature of the Service

Know When I Go allows users to store personal information and documents for their own reference or future access.

The Service:

  • does not provide legal, financial, medical or estate-planning advice; and
  • should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or formal legal documentation.

5. User Content

  • You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service.
  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • You confirm that you have the legal right to upload and store the content you provide.

6. Attribution and Image Use

We use a mix of royalty-free images and openly shared photography in good faith, with the understanding that they are available for commercial use. Where known, we acknowledge creators including Age Cymru, Centre for Better Ageing, Sensory Trust, Marcus Aurelius, Nathan Anderson, Sofia Shultz, Rebecca Campbell and Vitaly Gariev. If you recognise your work and would like attribution added or prefer it not to appear here, please contact us and we will update the site promptly.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • KWIG Limited is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
  • Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Availability and Changes to the Service

  • We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
  • We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss;
  • we are not liable for loss of data, loss of opportunity or loss arising from reliance on user-stored content; and
  • our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. User Responsibilities

You acknowledge that:

  • you are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important information;
  • no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure; and
  • use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. The Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
